I was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico and came to the states at an early age. Yes you read right. I'm not American, Italian, not from Argentina, nor am I from Europe (Not saying that being any of those nationalities is bad BTW). I'm 100% Puerto Rican. A lot of people get this wrong because I'm very light skin and have freckles. Most Puerto Ricans are some what dark skinned. Not me. I'm what you call a "Cano" (white hair). I get it from my mother who is very light skin also. I speak fluent English, Spanish, and I'm working on Japanese.
I've Been a sneaker fiend since August 2008. From August '08 to October '08, I accumulated 25 pairs of kicks. I blame that and my new hobby on my friend Justin. Since than I have bought 50+ pairs and counting. I love AM1's and most trainers a like. It's what I passion the most out of all sneakers. I'm also huge video game freak and home theater guru.
This photo stream will document me, Vagrant, wandering through the streets visiting different locations, structures, monuments, and just important areas of interest in NYC/NJ for now (hopefully make it out to other states or countries). At these locations I will be photographing my kicks of choice for the day. Whether it's a bridge, a street, a manhole, or a statue that has relevance, I will be there. This is something new that I just started doing last month (June, 2009) and it's just purely for fun. It is very interesting, frustrating, tiring and fun. If something comes out it, than so be it. Eventually I would love to do a magazine documenting the process and areas. I don't think anyone has done something like this before, so it gives us few sneaker heads an opportunity to say we are not just guys/girls just taking pictures of our sneakers for fun. It's more than just a click away. It's something we passion and love doing. This is something much more than just a hobby, it's a form of 'Art' and way of life.
